Clamper had a 'God-given right' on road
A CLAMPER seemed to think he had a "God-given right" to block the road while trying to clamp cars, a judge declared yesterday. Thomas Graham refused to take a garda's direction after drivers said his van blocked the street, Dublin District Court heard. Judge Murrough Connellan convicted Graham of dangerous parking and obstructing traffic in Dublin's Mespil Road in February last year. Graham, St Finian's Crescent, Lucan, Co Dublin, who pleaded guilty to the offences, was fined €150 for dangerous parking and €200 for obstructing traffic.

Something to smile at
Sporting failures don't come more stoical than Tim Henman - a quality noted by the Daily Telegraph in an opinion piece this week. "He takes every disappointment in good humour... He is incredibly polite... He has supportive parents, a charming wife... And he is from Surrey."
